Business first, technology second
The architecture should make the business more responsive, measurable, and resilient. Tools matter, but only after the operating problem is clear.
About
My work spans data engineering, analytics, machine learning, platform strategy, and team leadership. The common thread is building systems and teams that make better decisions easier at scale.
I currently lead data engineering and analytics work for manufacturing operations, where reliable data platforms and applied AI have to survive real operational pressure. That means prioritising trust, ownership, observability, and adoption as much as model or pipeline sophistication.
Before moving into broader leadership, I built the foundations directly: batch and streaming pipelines, warehouses, dashboards, recommendation systems, A/B testing frameworks, reporting automation, and self-service data products. That hands-on background shapes how I lead platform strategy today.
I am most effective in environments where senior stakeholders need data and AI to become a repeatable organisational capability, not a collection of disconnected experiments.
Principles
The architecture should make the business more responsive, measurable, and resilient. Tools matter, but only after the operating problem is clear.
Data quality, lineage, privacy, and governance are not overhead. They are what allow analytics and AI to be used in serious decisions.
Useful AI connects to workflows, incentives, monitoring, and ownership. Without that, the model is only a demo.
Strong delivery comes from clear priorities, explicit standards, healthy feedback loops, and enough autonomy for specialists to do excellent work.
